Re: 'transfer' not completing when it reaches voicemail
Correct: One phone number answered by live support person or voicemail.
Here is the transfer statement (fake phone number for the post):
<form id="userSupport">
<transfer dest="1112223333"/>
</form>
Thanks,
Brad

'transfer' not completing when it reaches voicemail
Hello, Our service uses the 'transfer' function to connect a user to our customer support. The transfer connects the user to our support phone number. If the user calls when we have the support line staffed, we answer (live) and service their call. Otherwise, the user is connected to voicemail and i...

submitting a private post
Hello,
I had been told that customers can post to this forum so that the content (e.g., test URLs) is private. I could not find how to do that. Please post instructions.
Thank you!

Plum able to receive SMS messages?
Hello,
Land lines can be configured to receive SMS. Is Plum so configured? If so, what API would we use to receive text messages?
Thank you.

It is not outbound call initiation, which we presently employ. That uses the PSTN voice channel. I am not sure what we are requesting is technically VoIP, which I read that Plum does not support. Can a data stream (not PSTN voice) be opened via which a user can have their Plum-hosted VXML interaction?

data stream available instead of voice channel
Hello, We are developing a mobile application for which we would like to use the multi-mode interaction, including voice (per VXML). To accomplish this, we seek to access Plum via a data channel rather than the PSTN. Is this possible, e.g., to post a URL to Plum and establish a VXML voice interactio...

commas in "choice" text
Hello, I have a script which breaks due to the folowing statement: <choice next="#id1" dtmf="1">If you would like additional information about this demo, its subject matter, and upcoming events please press 1</choice> When I remove the commas, it works fine. I haven't had this issue with other IVRs....

any way to limit the length of a call?
We'd like to protect ourselves from someone connecting to our service and leaving the phone off the hook and tying up a port and running up minutes. Is there some gobal time limit which we can impose to automatically (hopefully tactfully) disconnect someone after N minutes?
