Very Specific Platform Specs Questions

Post by macroniche »

Hi,

We built a platform on a testing site giving to us by Plum Voice. We are collecting telephony speech for a client but we need to know if there is any VOIP on the Plum Voice line at all. Our client is analyzing the calls from the IVR system to develop a voice recognition system so this is crucial to them.

Also my client noticed, or thought they noticed, that the spectrum of a test file showed some energy up near 20kHz which might be a 'shaped dither' - a technique sometimes used to improve quality when converting formats. They feel this could indicate some processes that we don't normally have in telephony systems. If there is extra processing of the data, it's not ok for their (and hence for our) purposes. Is there any information about this. Will you be able to send some information about the sound card, line used (ISDN?) by the platform and confirmation about no VOIP lines being in use at any stage?

Thanks,

David

Hi,

Regarding the number you are using for your test account, that number is 100% TDM (time-division multiplexing) and has no SIP on it whatsoever.
