Address Line 2

Post by Sarah »

Hi All,

I would like for Address Line 2 to be played back ont he IVR. I am not hearing it.
Example - try zipcode 85719

The location in question has Address line 2 filled out: Campbell Plaza

What do I need to do to get Address Line 2 played?

components of address must be in 1 field location on IVR sys

Post by support »

Hi,

All components of an address must be included in one 'location' field on the IVR; the IVR call flow element is structured to play:

$name is located at $location

If your address data spans multiple 'lines', you should combine them somehow before inserting them in your database or returning them in your web service.

Full Address not playing

Post by Sarah »

OK...I concantenanted address 1 and 2 together into a single field.
I am still not hearing the full address played.

Example: zip 85719 in Tucson AZ, addresss line 1 is "2954 North Campbell Campbell Plaza".

All that is being played is 2954 North Campbell.
Is there a delay from when you update the database to when it is played back?

What phone number are you using to dial into your IVR application? Once we know, we'll take a look and see what we can find.

IVR fix for address error

Post by support »

Your database still shows only "2954 North Campbell" for address line 1 which is what's played for the location.

You can review the data in the IVR database by going to the "Data Manager" tab and searching for -- in this particular case -- the ZIP code 85719. Once you correct the address there to say "2954 North Campbell Campbell Plaza" it should work as expected.

Hi all,

When I look in the d/b I see the full address. I have sent Grae Wilson a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

viewing your location database from your IVR account

Post by support »

To view your location database from your IVR account, we did the following:
1. Clicked Applications->Pre-built Applications on the menu bar.
2. Clicked on the edit link "E" next to your pre-built IVR application named "Test-Postnet"
3. In the new window that opened, click on the "Data Manager" tab.
4. Leave the form blank except for the ZIP field which should have "85719" filled in. Hit "Search"
5. A single entry should appear in the table below with the Name "PostNet". Click on the "Edit" link for that entry.
6. Address Line 1 shows only "2954 North Campbell". That field is the field read back to the caller and should contain all text that you wish for them to hear. Hit "Save" in the lower right once it's all entered.
