uploading mp3 files larger than 1mb

Is there a possibility to upload MP3 files larger than 1mb? I have files that are 8mb large. How do I do this?

Sorry, but currently, there isn't a way to upload mp3 files that are larger than 1MB on the IVR platform. Have you tried converting your mp3 file to a lower bitrate? It's unnecessary to upload high-quality mp3's because they will be need to be recompressed for playback over the phone.

For instance, you can fit about 4 minutes' worth of audio into a 1 MB 32kbps, mono, CBR mp3 with barely any audible loss of quality (for voice recordings). It is unlikely that you will need a single prompt in your IVR survey that is longer than 4 minutes. You may find a tool like WinMP3Shrink useful, although we do not use or support this software ourselves.
