documentation/examples

Post by wrothman@dealermagic.net »

Is there any documentation or examples in which variables are used? Any outbound call examples?

Hi Wayne,

We're still fleshing out our documentation. Checking out the information found in "Help on this module" underneath each module's menu may prove helpful though.

The Plum templates do make use of variables, generally to save the results from an input and then use it in a later prompt or do some simple math on it (e.g. the total price calculation in the Direct Response template). You can find these template apps under the Plum Templates category of the My Apps page.

The basic concept of variables is: if a module has a bold name at the top that you can edit, it has a result variable where the input from the user will be stored after the module is finished. Other modules with dropdowns where you can select the bold names allow you to prompt, reassign, or perform operations on these variables. You can also set variables at any point in your callflow with the Set Variable module in the Variables and Math category.

Until we provide more examples and documentation, please let us know if you have any specific questions on how variables behave.

We are still in the process of creating a tool to place outbound calls using an application. Once completed it will appear under "Outbound" in the header of the My Apps page.

Hope this helps,
SynApps Team

copying modules to other pages or apps

Post by wrothman@dealermagic.net »

Other than cloning, is there a copy and paste mechanism to copy modules or groups ofmodules. This can be useful, especially when breaking off part of a routine into a separate page.

copy and paste mechanism for SynApps IVR

Post by support »

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Currently, cloning is the only mechanism that allows you to copy modules.

However, this doesn't allow you to clone modules to other apps or pages (though, there are cloning features for apps themselves or pages).

We have passed this feature request to our developers for consideration.
