Based on the initial post, it is not possible to inform the receiving end of a transfer call that the call is being recorded and give them a chance to hang up.
Also, it is not possible to tell the difference between a voice pickup and an answering machine pickup (i.e. voicemail) for a transfer as they both count as answered calls (calls that pickup). The three statuses that you can act on for a transfer are: when the callee connects, when the callee does not answer, and when the callee is busy.
