Outbound call interface improvement suggestions

Post by mavin »

Thanks for the excellant Programmers Guide for placing outbound calls. I was able to get a demo application running quickly.

There is one thing which I wish was done differently. Rather than limiting the application to use four fixed-named post variables: msgParam1, msgParam2, msgParam3, and msgParam4; I'd rather be allowed to specify the POST content to allow my application to use its own variable names. When I attempted to use a VoiceXML application that was working fine for incoming calls to be used for outgoing, I had to tweak the application or put a wrapper around it.

Thanks,
Margaret Avino

IVR Outbound system status update

Post by support »

Mavin, this change is now implemented as per your suggestion.
It is now possible to use the "call_parameters" and "campaign_parameters" fields to stuff any application specific data you want into them. View the outbound Dev guide on the IVR hosting site for more details.
