Hi,

There are properties you can set to make voice recognition more or less sensitive. This is usually used to filter out background noises, so if your callers are mumbling the filler words (um, uh, etc), changing the sensitivity may help. Here is more information about the sensitivity property, and other properties you can set:

Unfortunately, if your callers are saying the filler words just as loud and clearly as the desired input, the voice recognition will try to interpret the filler words as input and probably not recognize them. We also suggest giving the caller the option of entering information via their keypad when possible.
