Fax solution integrated to IVR
Fax solution integrated to IVR
I would like to know how faxing could be implemented. We like to have a 5th option and user can trigger a dtmf signal for 5 if they want a faxed copy of what they are hearing over the phone which is the TTS output. Is there a way to implement that using the voice portal & VoiceXML combination or do we need to use a 3rd party faxing solution like Winfax or MS Small buisiness server. Either way how can we implement this functionality for our call flow.
No dedicated faxback capabilities in core IVR platform
Hello,
Plum does not provide any dedicated faxback capabilities in the core IVR platform. We recommend (as you suggested) making use of a 3rd party faxback solution. This can easily integrate at your web server, you can make use of a standard POST from our VoiceXML platform to your IVR application server. You can then call out to the 3rd party fax agent using a web service from your IVR application server.

IVR platform recommends a quick fax search
Hello,
Plum IVR platform does not have any active partners that it is recommending at this point. A quick internet search for "fax xml" or "fax web services" will pull up several competitors in that space.
