W3.org VXML Schema Inaccessible

Post by luckyllama »

All - we're running into an issue today where the VXML 2.1 schema posted at W3.org has been inaccessible to some of our servers which is making some of our core processes fail. (https://www.w3.org/TR/2007/REC-voicexml ... 9/vxml.xsd)

The strange thing is that the W3.org site appears to be accessible from some networks and not others.

1) Is anyone else running into this behavior today? For example, we can access w3.org from Verizon and Cox networks, but not T-Mobile, Century Link, or Microsoft Azure.

2) Do you have any suggestions for other places to validate VXML schemas? I tried pulling down a cached version of the .xsd from Google, but it seems to have a long list of embedded references to other w3.org schemas and documents so the local copy didn't work either.

The W3.org site is working again for us today. We downloaded all of the related schema documents for VXML and are using local copies for validation now. This approach seems to be working fine. No need for follow-up unless you have additional ideas/considerations. Thank you.
