Here is something that we occasionally encounter.

Words being spelled rather than spoken!

The address

123 Sunnyside Drive

is spoken as "one two three S U N N Y S I D E Drive"

Why is this? The addresses are being retrieved from a database that also is responsible for displaying on a web page so we can't simply adjust the phoenetics.

This is often caused by text being spelled in CAPS. Can you please provide a sample VoiceXML script that demonstrates this IVR problem so we can better determine how to solve your IVR problem? It is difficult to diagnose what is happening without a more concrete IVR example.
