How do I make the platform less sensitive to external noise?

Post by support »

The Bargein Threshold and Silence Threshold can be set from the administrator's Server Configuration form. The values set there are in decibels where 3 dB represents the loudest possible signal over the phone. The bargein threshold is specifically the loudness level that must be reached before the platform begins recording the utterance for recognition. The silence threshold is the loudness level below which it is assumed the utterance is over and recording stops. To make the platform less sensitive to external noise you'll want to raise both the bargein threshold and the silence threshold.
