Change caller ID before transfer to agent on <transfer>

Post by pacview »

We are trying to do a bridge transfer between a caller and an agent. We do not want agent to see caller's real phone number. At the time of transfer, can we add our own caller ID (e.g. 14085551111) to the <transfer> tag, so the agent knows it is coming from us.

Something like:

<transfer name="agentTransfer" dest="tel:+14088501490;ani=14085551111" maxtime="1320s" bridge="true">

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,
- Mahesh.

control ANI on IVR outbound leg of a call transfer

Post by support »

The ability to control ANI on the IVR outbound leg of a call transfer will be part of the 2.6.0 release of the Plum IVR platform. This release is still in testing but is expected to be deployed to our production IVR hosting environment by October 13.

Thanks for a quick response.

My next question is then, is there a way to test or verify it before Oct. 13th? May be in co-operate with QA, or an in-house server?

Would the next release that includes this feature, be released externally to turnkey solution clients also on Oct. 13?

Thanks and Regards,
- Mahesh.

Hello,

For access to the test instance of the Plum IVR Platform you should contact your sales representative. Once the IVR platform is officially released turnkey customers with an active support contract will be given the opportunity to schedule an upgrade.
