I need to make many outbound calls at the same time. The calls are confirmation calls that are triggered by a common start time (e.g. 9:00 am CST).
Plum seems to only handle one call at a time. By the time all of the calls are made 30 to 60 minutes may pass. I would like it to handle dozens (if not hundreds) of outbound calls concurrently. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

IVR system handles hundreds of simultaneous calls

There are no specific port caps on the Plum IVR outbound system we are capable of placing hundreds of of simultaneous IVR calls without IVR issue. However, the availablity of ports fluctuates throughout the day and can not be guaranteed. Priority access to the available ports is scheduled based on the current customer commitment level. If you are planning on making hundreds of simultaneous IVR calls through our IVR system you should contact your sales rep to discuss your commitment level.

Is there a way for us to determine if our outbound call volume is reaching the limit of your system's available ports? Is there a specific error that is generated?
We will probably be making about 100 calls at 8:00 central time.

Unfortunately there is no way to know that information. Plum can offer port guarantees when purchasing access to ports rather than minutes. You should contact your IVR sales representative if you have questions about your specific port allocations.
