Table maintenance

Post by vsuser »

Once an inbound or outbound application has completed and the appropriate data has passed to our servers, how do delete a row in the simple database?

Hi,

To delete a row from your Simple Database, first go into your Simple Database.

Once you're in your database, click on the checkbox for the row that wish to delete.

Once you have selected a checkbox, you can click on the "Delete this row" option (located under "Save Changes", "Save and view next", and "Save and add".

Sorry, I wasn't clear in the question. We'll be pushing info to and from the table using web services. Do we have to do maintenance, such as routine row removal, manually? Can we have items expire or programmatically remove them?

Hi,

Could you give us an example of how you're pushing info to and from your data table using web services?

This would help us get a clearer understanding of what you're trying to do.

We send data to PV to the simple database using your web service (CSV upload). At certain times we need to delete rows without manual entry. One thought I have is creating a campaign in which we write the variables to a row back to blank. That is variable= . Of course that won't work if you have some sort of hidden row key. We would prefer the ability to delete all rows in which a certain variable equals a certain value.
