We have customers all over north america using the application on our site to record audio...I cannot control what browser/OS they are using. Besides, since the application resides on Windows 2000 box and regardless of client browser/OS, the encoding is always the same...why would there be any diffe...

Hi, The Vimas application records and encodes on the fly using LAME, so there is no intermediate un-encoded file for me to send you. The application parameters include the bitrate (set to 32 kB/s) and the frequency (22,050 Hz). It records in mono, not stereo, as you can see by checking the propertie...

What is wrong with my mp3? "unrecoverable decoding erro
Hi, I've got an mp3 file encoded to the specs on your site: 32 bits, 22.05 kHz, mono (1 channel) but it does not play - here is the error we get when we attempt to play it back over our phone system. MadDecoder::errorCallback() - unrecoverable decoding error 0x0235 (bad main_data_begin pointer) Can ...

Failure during pvxPromptConvertCopySource
Hi,
I have seen these errors occur on all of our uploaded mp3 files, the format is as specified by the specs, but the files don't play and this error comes up in the logs. These files used to work.
Has something changed on the platform that could be causing this?
Thanks,
Melanie Sullivan

Audio Recording Volume Discrepancies
Hello, Within our code we have a single "Record Audio" block of code that is used each time a user makes a recording. For certain types of recordings (ie the code is referenced from a particular block of code each time), the recording volume for one of our users is particularly low. If he accesses t...

Hello, We tested this with the following cell phone providers: Bell Rogers Telus All the caller IDs came through fine on the local (617) number but did not come through on the toll free number. In addition we have another client reporting the issue with an Aliant cell phone. We have not been able to...

Thanks...do you have any idea at all about time frames? Are we looking at days? Weeks? Months (heaven forbid!) Please let us know, we've got several deals hinging on this specific functionality. Also, are there any workaround at all that we could put in the code? Redirecting phone numbers? anything?...
