I.e. my guys did enough research to find out that your team is using a VXML file, we want to know if that VXML file can update our database directly, EXCEPT for the voice file (wav), wherein we can have a link to the wav file onto your site.

write a webservice using IVR survey builder
Hi,
The VXML file isn't involved with updating the database directly.
However, using our IVR survey builder, you could write a webservice and use our "SOAP webservice" question type to allow you to update your database directly with responses. This new IVR feature will be implemented on Tuesday, October 14.
Also, about your question on .wav files, these files are stored within the IVR survey application, so they link directly to what you have built in your IVR survey.
