Turning off Voice Rec

Post by leland »

How can I turn off voice recognition during the "this is an automated call" script? I'm trying to do touch tone only through the entire thing and the voice rec keeps messing up.

Also, how do I make it so it doesn't repeat the message if it's an answering machine?

turn off voice recog at "Survey Settings" for IVR

Post by support »

Hi,

You could turn off voice recognition by going to "Survey Settings" for your IVR survey, going to the "Phone Options" tab, and clicking on the radio button for "Disabled" for "Speech Recognition".

About your second question on not repeating the message if it's an answering machine, you wouldn't be able to do this for your IVR survey. The message would repeat 3 times before hanging up if an answering machine picks up. On the IVR survey, the purpose of the message repeating itself is to ensure that a noinput by a human for that first message won't disconnect the IVR call.
