Regarding session.telephone.dnis

Post by awaneeshp »

Hi,

We have been given a telephone number "6172742066" by Plum to test our applicatio. We are storing this number as the Called id in out application DB to check from which number the call has been made.

But when we receive the "session.telephone.dnis", plum gives us only last 4 digit of the telephone number i.e. '2066' as in the above telephone number.

Is there some specific reason for this behavior as we assumed that we are going to receive the entire telephone number & we saved that number in our DB.

So just wanted to check if this is going to be standard from PLUM becuase we need to enter this in our DB which should not be changed unless & untill we change the entire telephone number?

Thanks,
-Awaneesh

IVR local numbers in US only last 4 digits of DNIS assigned

Post by support »

For any Plum-allocated local numbers in the US (anything with the area code 617 for instance) only the last four digits of the DNIS will be assigned to session.telephone.dnis in the IVR platform.
