Playing music while call is on hold

I was wondering if your software supports playing music while a call is on hold.

The situation that I need this to work for is as follows:
A call is placed to the IVR system and they are transferred to a human (operator) due to incorrect entries. When the (operator) places this caller on hold to check data or for any other reason I need music to be played. Would your system allow for this and how or is this something that would need to be set up on the (operator) telephone system?

Hi,

In the situation you described, you wouldn't be able to play any audio while the call is on hold because when the call is transferred to the operator, it is out of the hands of the IVR. At that point, there is a direct phone-to-phone connection between the caller and the operator, and the IVR is no longer involved.
