Hi,

You cannot do a transfer from an 800 number to an 800 number as US phone companies do not allow for this. There is also no workaround that will allow you to transfer directly from your 800 number to another 800 number.

However, it is possible to transfer to a local number from your 800 number and then transfer to an 800 number, but you will need to speak to your sales representative about this.

Hi,

Looking at your account, there doesn't appear to be a non-800 (local) number assigned. Please speak to your sales representative about acquiring a local number for your account.

Hi,

Regarding this issue you are having with your transfer, could you provide us with the code you are using and the phone numbers for the transfer? (you can private message this to us if this is sensitive information)

This will allow us to further troubleshoot your issue in trying to reproduce it.

Hi,

Upon further analysis, we have been unable to reproduce this issue with any other toll-free number, regardless of the first three digits of the DID (including an 877 number that worked fine). This would indicate that the issue is a telco routing issue and not an IVR issue.

To address this matter, we will be putting a call into our carrier to see if there's any strange routing rule within their cloud that may be preventing calls from reaching your number, 877-296-9661. However, we highly recommend that you contact your carrier as well, as most route filtering rules are actually applied at the terminating end of the call, not the source of the call.

Hi,

Our carrier has looked into this issue and has confirmed that the transfer is being delivered from our end. They have mentioned that this is most likely an issue with the terminating end that is blocking transfers to that 877-296-9661 phone number.
